The PRESSURE Trial is a multicenter RCT investigating the efficacy of incisional negative pressure wound therapy in preventing postoperative wound complications in patients undergoing a contaminated abdominal wall reconstruction.
Around 20 European hospitals participate in the trial. Participants will be randomized between incisional negative-pressure wound therapy or conventional wound care with a gauze-based dressing.
