The OzO meeting
The OzO (short for OnderzoeksOverleg in Dutch) is a bi-weekly research meeting designed to help PhD students grow into mature researchers by:
- Providing them with the opportunity to practice explaining and defending their scientific work.
- Developing the skill set to critically review scientific papers and formulate constructive feedback.
- Broadening their medical informatics knowledge.
- Connecting with their peers.
"The OzO helped teach me skills that I wouldn't normally learn during a working day."
PhD day
The PhD Day is one of KIK's favorite days of the year! On that day, PhD students enthusiastically share their projects with colleagues from all research lines through themed presentations. Over the last few years, themes have included: "KIKs night out: the best night out during daytime”, "The KIK book club", and "The KIK's choice awards".
Every year, we enjoy a day filled with presentations, questions, snacks, drinks, prizes, and collegial bonding. Also, every year, the marvelous presentations manage to exceed everyone’s expectations.
